NODA REPORT This NODA pantomime written by John Morley was in the traditional vein with lots of humour and slapstick comedy one expects. A strong cast of principals, most notably, Gareth Davies as the DAME who played his part to perfection let the company through the show without fault. Although the babes played their parts well I thought they were perhaps a little to grown up to be really referred to as babes. the dancers were in excellent form, particularly in the Toy Soldiers and Jitterbug routines. Costumes supplied by (Irene Wilcox) were impeccable which added to the visual impact of the production. Although scenery (Scene Doc) was sparse, what there was created enough atmosphere to be effective. I must say I prefer all the music to come from the musicians in the pit, I accept that when recorded music was used it was necessary to create the atmosphere required and less costly than a full orchestra. Along with the audience we enjoyed the evening very much.
